JV takes step to modernize

NetWorkS!, the network sharing joint venture of Orange Poland and T-Mobile Poland, signed agreements with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and Huawei to modernize and expand the company’s infrastructure, TeleGeography CommsUpdate reported.

The upgrade will take place during the next two years and is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.

In a statement regarding the planned upgrades, Orange stated customers could expect to notice the improvements by this year’s second quarter.

NSN and Huawei are expected to install equipment enabling the cellcos to offer LTE services.
