Digicel sues Hondutel over missing payments

Digicel’s Honduran unit will sue PTO Hondutel to recover money it claims it is owed. Digicel alleges PTO Hondutel failed to adhere to terms of its Interconnection Agreement, TeleGeography CommsUpdate reported.

Digicel will sue for HNL10 million in payments covering the term from February 2009, unless the debt is honored.

Last month Digicel said that if it failed to get agreement concerning payment of the debt it would be forced to suspend incoming international calls.
