Hormuud calls on Harris Stratex for backbone extension

Wireless network solutions provider Harris Stratex Networks announced that Somali telecoms operator Hormuud Telecom placed an order for 100 of its high capacity Eclipse radios to extend its microwave backbone, CommsUpdate reporated.

The deployment forms part of a long standing relationship between the two companies. Harris already installed more than200 Eclipse series radios for Hormuud.

 Hormuud Telecom was founded in 1992 and provides fixed and mobile telephony, as well as data services in Southern and Central Somalia.
