Craig, Motorola deploy WiMAX in Vancouver

Canadian provider Craig Wireless and technology supplier Motorola deployed a mobile 802.16e WiMAX network in Vancouver, reports Wirelessweek.com, according to TeleGeography CommsUpdate.

The project was announced in September, with Motorola agreeing to provide an end-to-end WiMAX solution, including base stations, wireless access controllers and an operation and maintenance centre (OMC) for the 2500MHz network.

Motorola’s solution lets Craig hit the ground running in its Vancouver market and seize opportunities to serve customers with new mobile services and applications,  said Rod Vandenbos, president of Craig Wireless.
