SFR awards NSN contract

French cellco SFR awarded Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) a three-year contract to expand its mobile broadband coverage, enhance service quality and pilot LTE, according to a report on TeleGeography CommsUpdate.

Under the deal, NSN will upgrade SFR’s radio network and provide, operate and maintain new all-IP packet core technology capable of supporting 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services.

NSN also will deploy its NetAct network management system and charge@once charging and billing solution.
