| Tone Software Acquires IP Voice Analytics Solution, Signs European Partner |
| May 19, 2009 |
Tone Software Corporation, a global provider of comprehensive network monitoring and management solutions has acquired the Streamline IP Voice Analytics Management Platform from Communicado, Inc. Along with the platform and all underlying technology, Tone Software is immediately integrating key Streamline product development and service delivery staff into the company, and is providing full product support and professional services for the Streamline technology going forward. The Streamline Service Management Platform enables enterprises and managed service providers to conduct VoIP pre-network assessments to determine their IP network’s readiness for VoIP traffic. The technology also performs IP voice network optimization, as well as in-depth IP voice quality of service analysis, including real-time capture of session statistics on every call and real-time calculation of MOS for every call. Together with TONE's ReliaTel Management software, the two technologies form a solution suite that seamlessly provides in-depth management of faults, performance, QoS, traffic, and network capacity for multi-platform, IP-enabled voice and data environments that support mobility, collaboration and unified communications. "Enterprises and service providers alike are seeking cost effective ways to capitalize on the business benefits of converged and unified communications, and the key to success lies in providing a bullet-proof voice and data management platform that supports these business-critical communications technologies" said Shirley Balarezo, president, Tone Software Corporation. Streamline and ReliaTel combine to deliver a platform-independent voice quality and service management solution that supports the full gamut of TDM and IP gear from Avaya, Nortel, Cisco, Siemens, NEC, Mitel, and more. The combined solution is particularly valuable to MSPs that want to broaden their service offerings to fully manage clients’ multi-platform converged voice and data networks. This includes the measurement and mitigation of quality-affecting problems within their client’s IP voice user experience, as well as secure VPN-less remote access to clients’ premise-based servers, switches and routers to remotely control and resolve issues without dispatching service personnel. The solution is delivered through a "management as a service" hosted model, which provides the optimal management benefits with none of the risks or IT burden of ongoing support and maintenance. VARs and MSPs find this model highly advantageous since it eliminates the necessity for expensive NOC investments or increases in staffing and overhead costs. Elsewhere, Tone announced a distribution and reseller partnership with NuPSoft, a leading provider of network service level management technologies to the European market. Tone Software's ReliaTel and Streamline solutions will expand NuPSoft’s technology portfolio, providing strong capabilities to perform pre-network assessments that help clients determine their networks' readiness for VoIP. For Tone Software, the partnership will expand its presence in Europe, providing a partner for increasing its market share in the region, and on a global scale. "As the impact of moving voice traffic over the data network grows, we recognize the need to provide deeper management technology that will address the unique challenges of the converged network," said Fritz Neulinger, president and chief executive officer of NuPSoft. "As our clients migrate to IP-based voice technologies, the unmatched IP voice service and quality management capabilities of ReliaTel and Streamline will ensure our customers achieve a smooth migration to VoIP across their corporate networks, while also successfully supporting their goal of optimizing data network performance and value." NuPSoft also intends to utilize ReliaTel's data network management capabilities to support its customers' current data network services, and as the bridging platform to manage customers' IP voice services as they make the transition. As a result, these customers will be well positioned to accommodate VoIP or IP voice technologies as they are added and integrated, without replacing or reconfiguring their network management platforms.
